Managing our triggers...

My favourite therapist says we will likely be “triggered” by certain things because of our upbringing and/or certain life experiences. He says the aim should be better management of our emotional responses. Hopefully, after the initial falter, we can observe what we’re feeling and then rely on some of the coping strategies we’ve learned to shorten the time between trigger and calm. Just sayin’ :) Hugs.
