Beauty is compelling, valued and coveted. I'm not sure what it takes to understand and value inner beauty beyond the external esthetic, but when this message hits home, wow. Words pale. Imagine observing someone you love demonstrate profound inner strength; following through on a commitment at one's own personal sacrifice, having a friend's back despite perhaps lesser treatment in return, protecting a friend's honor that's maybe less than stellar... to name just a few.
