Thanks to really good counselling, my partner and I have a pretty full proof strategy. When tensions rise, one of us will remember to say “No one is wrong or bad. Let’s just clear the air and we can move on.” Those simple words are surprisingly calming. We find common ground quite quickly, and then we apologize to each another.
